CanonDraft gives the screenplay a desk
A screenwriting app pairs industry-format script entry with a visual planning desk of character sheets, location cards, scene boards, and research clippings.
- For
- Screenwriters planning casts, scenes, and story structure
- Worth noticing
- Its script-built bible links speaking characters and scene headings to cast and location sheets; renaming a character is said to update every cue.
Field notes
After a script is entered, the page says speaking characters become cast sheets and scene headings become locations; those sheets track wants, needs, flaws, arcs, and voice. Scenes are presented as index cards on cork boards, with research clippings and cited sources kept alongside the project. A sample rename workflow shows one character change propagating to screenplay cues. The homepage also advertises a page-reading writers' room and scene-tension map, though the extract does not verify those features.
