Self Destruct Note
A browser-based tool for creating one-time secret-message links, with optional passwords, reading timers, expiry settings, and QR-code sharing.
- For
- People sharing passwords or other one-time private notes
- Worth noticing
- A separate private status link can show whether a note was read and destroy it early, but cannot display its contents.
Field notes
The form limits notes to plain text and displays a 10,000-character counter. Senders can set an unopened-note expiry from one hour to 30 days, while the optional reading countdown is described as controlling how long a recipient can read; the page notes that recipients can pause it. A separate status link is presented for checking whether a note was read or destroying it early, and is explicitly distinguished from the message link.
