Chessholic turns recurring blunders into drills
A forthcoming iPhone app proposes to analyze your Chess.com or Lichess games, identify repeated mistakes, and turn them into practice puzzles.
- For
- Chess players rated 800–2000
- Worth noticing
- Its sample report counts Nc3 in 31 of 38 Scotch games and estimates the move costs about one pawn.
Field notes
The preview shows three recurring positions with game counts, estimated costs, and an alternative move. Each mistake becomes a puzzle drawn from the player's own position; the proposed schedule repeats misses in-session, then widens gaps to 1, 3, 7, and 14 days. A habit is labeled cured only after the player finds the move in a real game twice consecutively. Chessholic says analysis uses Stockfish and covers Chess.com and Lichess; the app is not yet available.
