Field notes
The app uses the local tracert, traceroute, or mtr command and reports which tool, flags, and lookups answered. Its location check uses roughly 200 km per millisecond of fibre travel and adds 300 km of slack for an approximate origin; placements beyond that distance are rejected. The page also describes AS-path and RPKI context, RIPE data, and comparisons between repeated traces.
