What Was Preached? — Church by Church
A searchable study compares sermons published by churches with eleven parts of the gospel, with quotations linked to their timestamps.
- For
- Readers comparing church sermons with biblical texts
- Worth noticing
- Its method distinguishes teaching from worship, prayer, announcements, and other uploads before measuring sermon content.
Field notes
The study says it uses material churches published themselves, including YouTube recordings and audio or text on church sites. Its methodology reports 3,064 project-made transcriptions, 71 drawn from YouTube captions, and 36 sermons published as text. It also excludes uploads judged not to be sermons and sets aside recordings where the teaching boundary is uncertain, making those limits visible rather than silently treating every service as a sermon.
