An iPhone agent with the network switch off
loopl is an on-device iPhone agent app and Swift SDK, designed to run models and native tools without an account or network connection.
- For
- iPhone users building or testing on-device agents
- Worth noticing
- Its tool loop has no iteration cap; the context window and the user's Stop button are the stated bounds.
Field notes
The SDK represents each tool as a Swift struct with a name, schema, and async function. In a turn, tool calls run concurrently after schema checks; malformed calls return errors the model can read and correct. Built-ins include flashlight, haptics, offline translation and speech, image tools, calculator, memory, and HTTPS requests that require approval. The page says there is no iteration cap: the context window and the user's Stop button bound the loop.
