- For
- French beginners planning an evening of stargazing
- Worth noticing
- The evening calculation runs in-browser for French cities; weather is excluded, and planet visibility uses stated horizon thresholds.
Field notes
The page distinguishes annual ephemerides, which it says are readable without JavaScript, from the evening calculation, which runs in the visitor’s browser. Its visibility notes specify French legal times and a clear-horizon assumption, and it explicitly excludes weather. The instrument selector asks about target, location, transport, age, and budget before giving an argued recommendation.
