PetitionScanner turns petition sheets into reviewable rows
A browser-based tool for associations, NGOs, and campaigns that extracts handwritten names and email addresses from photographed petition pages and exports them as CSV.
- For
- Belgian associations, NGOs, and petition campaigns
- Worth noticing
- Its review queue gives a reason for uncertain readings, including the example “telenet or telnet?”
Field notes
The mobile workflow accepts one or several page photos, then asks users to review only lines it flags, with a reason and suggested reading. The page says its recognition checks names against an official Belgian first- and last-name list of 120,000 entries. It also describes CSV settings for Belgian Excel, including separators and accent handling; these are product claims on the homepage, not independently tested here.
