Web Without AI’s tested search-engine guide
A comparison of search engines that show no generative AI answers by default, with tests, screenshots, and notes on settings and result sources.
- For
- Searchers who want results without generative AI answers
- Worth noticing
- Each listed engine test includes eight dated screenshots; DuckDuckGo’s entry also checks an image-search filter.
Field notes
The comparison records each engine’s default AI behavior, whether the feature can be disabled, result source, privacy notes, login requirement, price, and last test date. Its visible DuckDuckGo entry lists seven named web queries plus an image-search check, with eight dated screenshots and an official help document; the test specifies US, Chrome desktop, and signed-out conditions. The page also separates a Google Web-filter workaround from engines that avoid generative answers by default.
