Crochet Grid Lab turns an image into a customizable, printable crochet chart with stitch grids, symbols, and a color legend.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-09 issue.

For: Crocheters turning photos into counted charts
Worth noticing: The FAQ says it creates visual charts, not written stitch instructions; users must review and adapt the grid.

Field notes

The browser interface offers original-ratio or square-center cropping, stitch-width and palette controls from 2 to 16 colors, grayscale, grid, symbols, and color numbers. A sample can be run without uploading a photo; listed outputs include PNG, CSV, or Print/Save PDF. The FAQ distinguishes this visual chart from written stitch instructions, which the tool does not provide.
