Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

Pinset is a Mac utility that takes spoken or typed troubleshooting requests, then applies selected fixes or opens the relevant System Settings control.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-09 issue.

For: Mac users troubleshooting settings or helping someone else with a Mac
Worth noticing: The page says the catalog runs locally and speech is transcribed on the Mac; its browser demo covers only a sample.

Field notes

The page separates answers for newcomers from a pro layer that includes paths and Terminal commands. It also describes three outcomes: apply a switch with Undo, open the relevant settings page, or answer basic Mac questions such as translating Windows shortcuts. The browser demo is explicitly limited to a sample of the catalog, while the full catalog is described as residing on the Mac.
