Editorial interest 83/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A helicopter-tour site that also lets visitors explore flight paths and modeled noise over New York-area neighborhoods.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-09 issue.

For: NYC-area residents and prospective helicopter-tour passengers
Worth noticing: Its tour count covers four major sightseeing operators only, so the site describes the figure as a floor.

Field notes

The map is described as replaying flights from 11 New York and New Jersey airports across New York City, Long Island, and nearby New Jersey, with modeled ground noise. The page says its averages exclude 11 bad-weather days and two days with incomplete data. Flight positions are attributed to ADS-B Exchange, and the sightseeing-tour count covers four major operators only.
