rangrdangr.com Visit website

Editorial interest 79/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A local map for sharing parking-ranger sightings, incidents, hazards, and lost or found pets, with nearby alerts.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-09 issue.

For: Newcastle locals sharing nearby public sightings
Worth noticing: Three majority Not there votes clear a report; three distinct abuse flags hide a misleading one.

Field notes

The interface combines location reports with configurable nearby and walking alerts, including browser notifications and email. Its moderation rules are unusually explicit: fresh confirmations renew a report’s expiry, while three majority Not there votes clear it and three distinct abuse flags hide a misleading report. The ranger-risk layer is marked beta and described as an estimate from community reports.
