Shermine: race-course reports with coordinates attached
Shermine is a planned media relay for running, ultra, and gravel events, routing volunteers’ photos, videos, and voice notes to organizers and broadcast crews.
- For
- Trail-running, ultra, and gravel-event organizers and broadcast crews
- Worth noticing
- The page acknowledges an operational ceiling in unusually plain terms: it may not hold up when 100 messages arrive at once.
Field notes
The examples distinguish capture time from upload time and show a GPS fix with an accuracy estimate, including a stated case where location cannot be determined. The described workflow queues media outside coverage, sends large videos in chunks, and turns voice notes into text for production use. Role-specific entry links are presented as account-free; the homepage lists a pilot for late autumn and winter 2026 and cautions about a hundred-message surge.
