jiransyria.com Visit website

Editorial interest 74/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

Jiran describes a local marketplace for jobs, rentals, services, and items for sale in Syria, designed for weak internet connections and simple phones.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-11 issue.

For: Syrian residents seeking nearby work, rentals, or services
Worth noticing: The page cites OCHA and UN Cartographic Section data for Syrian place names, while explicitly disclaiming UN endorsement.

Field notes

The homepage describes a listing flow: users post for free or browse without an account, then contact the poster in chat and settle the price directly. Jiran says it is designed for weak connections and simple phones, and says it never stores exact location. The current page labels the Google Play app “coming soon”; Syrian administrative geography and a daily exchange-rate source are documented, but live marketplace inventory is not shown here.
