Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

Library of Melodies lets visitors explore and compose one-bar melodies, each assigned a numerical address for later reconstruction.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-11 issue.

For: Composers exploring constrained melodic variations
Worth noticing: The stated universe fixes a single 4/4 measure, one chromatic octave, and durations as short as a thirty-second note.

Field notes

The stated universe is bounded by meter, pitch range, and rhythmic resolution, while the address system is described as reconstructing sequences rather than storing them individually. The Explore interface offers constraints for scales, rhythms, event counts, and required notes. LibCreator v0.1 is marked experimental and saves projects locally; the site explicitly says public sharing and MIDI export are not available yet.
