Field notes
The setup guide sends newcomers to a browser-based Meshtastic flasher, recommends the US region and LongFast preset, and says an attic or rooftop antenna can improve range. Three radio options are listed, from a roughly $20 Heltec board to a roughly $46 GPS-equipped T-Beam. The page also describes a solar- and battery-backed repeater network and a bot with local weather, node, and astronomy commands.
