Blequi checks grocery prices—and the discount math
Blequi presents an app for comparing nearby grocery prices by barcode, checking whether sale prices are genuine, and managing prepaid purchases at neighborhood grocers.
- For
- Brazilian grocery shoppers and neighborhood grocers
- Worth noticing
- The proposed prepaid account sends Pix payments directly to the grocer; Blequi says it records the balance rather than holding the money.
Field notes
The price-reporting flow is described as crowdsourced: shoppers submit prices in store, GPS validates a report, and accurate contributors gain reputation. Results are presented with distance, confidence, and report recency, while the site says cached lookup can work offline. The separate prepaid-grocer concept describes Pix going directly to the shop, with a QR approval step for each purchase; the homepage does not establish that this flow is live.
