A Windows app turns audio from your PC into a beat-tracking animated orb, either in a window or as desktop wallpaper.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-12 issue.

For: Windows users who want music-reactive desktop visuals
Worth noticing: The app is unsigned; its FAQ explains the Windows warning and points users to its official GitHub release page.

Field notes

In its default mode, Pulsorb reacts to PC audio and lists live tempo tracking between 60 and 180 BPM. Optional Spicetify integration adds Spotify’s own beat analysis and playlist controls, though the FAQ notes that Spicetify modifies Spotify and that Spotify’s terms do not allow this. The page also warns that the installer is unsigned and explains the Windows warning users may see.
