A browser-based tool compares a sampled photo color with paint colors and can suggest paint mixtures.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-12 issue.

For: People matching paint colors from photos
Worth noticing: It samples a small disc of pixels in linear light, with an optional white reference to correct color-channel gains.

Field notes

The app accepts a photo and lets the user sample a color with an adjustable-radius area rather than a single pixel; an optional white reference corrects channel gains for the photo’s lighting and exposure. It compares candidates in CIELAB using ΔE CIEDE2000, then describes a simplified subtractive model for proposing paint mixtures. Users can filter by selected brands and inventory; syncing inventory, brands, and projects across devices requires the optional PC server.
