Field notes
The map combines a flat system view and 3D orrery with adjustable game-time playback, body markers, orbit and ring layers, and controls for stations, fleet carriers, eclipses, and landable worlds. In Surface View, users can adjust viewing direction and field of view to compare a ring or crescent with a chosen horizon; the interface places the viewpoint 2 km above it. The ground pattern is labeled illustrative, not a representation of actual terrain.
