playsecretsails.com Visit website
Editorial interest 83/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A naval strategy game where captains move fleets at the same time, bluff about hidden ship ratings, and compete for points across a shrinking chart.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-13 issue.
For
Fans of hidden-information strategy and tabletop play
Worth noticing
Orders stay hidden until all captains submit; ships that cross pass without fighting, while ships that meet engage.

Field notes

The game uses hidden ship ratings and simultaneous orders: captains can move several ships, but nobody sees the orders until everyone has submitted. The 14-ship roster includes a Privateer that can sink a First Rate only when attacking first, and a stationary Fireship that only a Boarding Party can capture. Scoring combines combat with harbor and Capital control before the storm removes parts of the chart.
