- For
- San Marcos filmgoers and local film groups
- Worth noticing
- The petition can include a Showplace memory, such as a first date or midnight show, alongside a request to volunteer.
Field notes
The page lays out a sequence rather than implying the cinema is close to reopening: collect local support, approach the building owners, form a Texas nonprofit, test demand with pop-up screenings, then seek restoration funds. The proposed program includes repertory and cult screenings alongside a physical disc library. The petition form also invites volunteers and lets supporters add a memory of the old cinema.
