- For
- Gardeners choosing plants for a particular spot
- Worth noticing
- The model excludes trees, buildings, hills and clouds unless their shade is represented by walls the user draws.
Field notes
Users set a location, draw walls or fences, assign their heights and move a measuring point to inspect the shade at that spot. The page offers daily totals, hour-by-hour views and a year chart, with daylight-saving adjustments based on the location's time zone. A site can be saved in the browser, shared by link or exported as a picture; the model assumes level ground and only the walls entered by the user cast shade.
