- For
- Busy households managing family calendars and school email
- Worth noticing
- The page says wake-word and voice recognition run on a household laptop; Dave drafts email replies but never sends them.
Field notes
The described setup pairs a TV with an old laptop, using on-device hearing components and a voice service for Dave's spoken responses. The page says it can turn school and club email dates into calendar entries, flag scheduling clashes, and provide traffic or rain reminders. It also describes a one-time still-image check for an unfamiliar face; these are project claims, not independently verified capabilities.
