PG&E Toolkit - Pro checks your rate plan against your meter history
An app for PG&E customers that compares residential rate plans using their smart-meter usage and says it checks again every month.
- For
- PG&E residential electricity customers
- Worth noticing
- The page says comparisons use the prior 365 days and identifies store-screen dollar figures as examples from a fictional demo account.
Field notes
Users connect their PG&E usage through the utility’s Share My Data program; the app then compares the previous 365 days against currently offered residential electric plans and repeats the calculation monthly. The page also describes billing-cycle views, itemized charges, solar import and export data, EV-rate comparisons, and one- or two-Powerwall scenarios. PG&E account access is required, and displayed store-screen dollar amounts are identified as examples from a fictional demo account.
