Muhento describes a phone app paired with a small LoRa card to show a team’s locations when mobile coverage is unavailable.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-18 issue.

For: Outdoor teams testing routes beyond mobile coverage
Worth noticing: The page describes 868 MHz card-to-card relaying; it says the Android beta is limited to small teams and the card is not yet for sale.

Field notes

The described setup connects each card to a phone over Bluetooth, then passes location updates between cards so an intermediate device can relay information farther along the team. The page also describes QR-based team joining, separate keys for up to three simultaneous activities, and exports in FIT or GPX formats. It says the Android app is in a small-team beta and that the hardware card is not yet for sale.
