Puduvai Voice: a reporting pilot for Puducherry
A multilingual civic pilot for reporting local problems and following their progress across Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam.
- For
- Puducherry residents reporting local service problems
- Worth noticing
- New reports stay private until an administrator reviews them; government departments are explicitly not participating yet.
Field notes
The workflow separates private submissions from public reports: titles, descriptions, area and progress become visible only after review, while optional contact fields and photos remain private. The site says report text and area may be sent to Gemini for assistance, but contact fields and photos are excluded; only reviewed translations are displayed. Its map uses approximate locations, and the page identifies the project as an independent pilot rather than an emergency service.
