Sauce Ledger: a paper trail for the hot-sauce batch
A recordkeeping and costing tool for small-batch sauce makers, covering batches, ingredient lots, pH logs, costs, and recall reports.
- For
- Small-batch hot sauce and pickle makers
- Worth noticing
- The FAQ says it organizes records but does not replace a process authority or make the maker compliant.
Field notes
The workflow starts with a maker’s process-authority letter: the maker enters limits and can upload the PDF. Each batch gets a generated lot code; ingredient lots are logged, and the site says pH entries are checked against those limits before saving. It also describes locked completed records, reasoned corrections with an audit trail, and CSV export. The FAQ explicitly says recordkeeping software does not replace the maker’s process authority or establish compliance.
