Бангарагович’s Official Site, Best Viewed in IE6
A Russian-language persona page stages a neighborhood “authority” in a faux early-web interface, complete with a chanson player, guestbook, and poll.
- For
- Russian-speaking visitors to the Bangaragovich persona site
- Worth noticing
- A mock Winamp panel specifies 32 kbps, 16 kHz mono audio; the page also claims optimization for IE 6 at 1024×768.
Field notes
The page arranges its persona through faux browser controls, a poll asking whether Bangaragovich is a respected man, a guestbook, and a six-name online roster. A mock Winamp panel specifies 32 kbps, 16 kHz mono audio, while a simulated millionth-visitor dialog offers “infinite respect” as the prize. The page also says it requires Flash Player 6 and is optimized for Internet Explorer 6 at 1024×768; the extracted evidence does not establish which controls still work.
