- For
- Herdr users who need mobile SSH access
- Worth noticing
- The first connection requires checking the host-key fingerprint; SSH secrets are encrypted with a key held by Android Keystore.
Field notes
On first launch, the app generates an Ed25519 device key; users can add its public key to the host or sign it with an SSH CA. It can import ~/.ssh/config, including ProxyJump entries, and checks host keys on each jump-host hop. The terminal renderer uses libghostty-vt, while credentials are encrypted with an Android Keystore-held key. The host must have Herdr 0.9.0 or later and /bin/sh; PowerShell-only Windows hosts are unsupported.
