A forthcoming audiobook player for technical books that displays each diagram when the narration reaches it.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-20 issue.

For: Readers of technical books and their publishers
Worth noticing: A displayed .figbook example is a ZIP with audio, images, and a manifest marking when figure segments are discussed.

Field notes

A displayed JSON example gives the format a concrete shape: a figure segment has start and end times, accompanying text, and an image path. The page also describes synchronized text, sentence-level notes, and offline use. Figbook says its iPhone and Mac apps are in final testing; Android and Linux are listed as later plans, not available versions.
