Alma, remembered: a family archive across generations
A collaborative archive traces the El-Haj Khalil and Al-Refaei families from Alma through Lebanon and the diaspora, using documents, a family tree, and a timeline.
- For
- Members of the El-Haj Khalil and Al-Refaei families
- Worth noticing
- The timeline marks unconfirmed links with dashed lines and leaves specific family-history questions unanswered.
Field notes
The page combines a dated family timeline with an archive index and a prompt for relatives to contribute missing information. Its visible document list includes a 1934 land contract, a 1944 accident-witness record, and a 1946–47 teacher personnel file; the timeline connects Alma with Lebanon and later diaspora. It identifies unresolved parentage, sibling, cousin, and migration questions, and says contributions are checked before entering the tree.
