MacT Factory turns game prompts into editable code
A no-account game-making workshop for ages 10 and up that turns a prompt into a playable game, then lets kids inspect and change its code.
- For
- Kids ages 10 and up learning to make games
- Worth noticing
- Games run as plain JavaScript on a canvas inside a frame with no network.
Field notes
A prompt can be typed or spoken; the foreman asks no more than two follow-up questions before sending a build to the line. The page says code streams onto a bench in roughly 30 seconds, then runs with laptop keyboard and mouse or phone stick and A/B controls. Builders can alter a number or rule and rerun; if a change breaks the game, the foreman is described as repairing the fault without undoing the edit. Builds remain on the same device unless submitted to the showroom.
