Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

Offmapped searches around a chosen location for abandoned sites, viewpoints, outdoor spots and drone locations across France.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-21 issue.

For: Urbex explorers and drone spotters in France
Worth noticing: It flags DGAC flight restrictions and says explicitly that a mapped spot does not grant access; entering is forbidden.

Field notes

The described workflow starts with a location and radius, then filters candidate spots by category and confidence before a one-by-one aerial-image review. The homepage names OpenStreetMap, IGN, Sirene and Cartofriches and lists coverage in 96 departments, but its category totals differ between sections. A DGAC restriction overlay is presented for drone use, alongside explicit warnings that access is not guaranteed and entering is forbidden.
