A Mac utility that floats a video window and follows iZotope RX’s playback position, giving audio editors picture context without leaving RX.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-21 issue.

For: Dialogue editors and audio-restoration users working in iZotope RX
Worth noticing: The FAQ says it reads RX’s on-screen timecode about 50 times per second; occasional drift may follow scrubbing or loading, then self-correct.

Field notes

The page describes a menu-bar app that runs locally on a Mac, keeps its video window above RX, and hides it when RX is not active. It lists an end-of-selection warning for RX Connect work and recommends editing-friendly formats such as Apple ProRes Proxy or LT, or H.264 with short keyframe intervals; 4K and long-GOP files may seek more slowly.
