- For
- Garden-game players and San Diego gardeners
- Worth noticing
- The Almanac distinguishes coastal from inland San Diego; submission forms ask for initials and caution against identifiable photos of children.
Field notes
The Garden Almanac is organized around San Diego’s coastal and inland conditions and includes a direct-sow-versus-tray-start cheat sheet. Visitors can browse games, a scrapbook, a chicken coop and critter pages; the Garden Society form accepts journal entries, project updates or compost photos, with Yvy saying she reviews submissions before they appear. Its form asks contributors to use first names or initials and avoid photos of children’s faces without parental permission.
