moonprints.org Visit website

Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

An interactive lunar map lets visitors pick a virtual plot, decorate a flag, and place it on the Moon for $1.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-23 issue.

For: Moon-map explorers and novelty gift buyers
Worth noticing: The page credits NASA LRO/LROC/LOLA imagery and explicitly says NASA does not endorse the project.

Field notes

The page describes a one-million-cell grid over lunar imagery, with a counter showing 2 plots claimed. Visitors are invited to zoom, inspect the surface in first person, choose a location, and customize a flag; the page says others can see those flags. It credits NASA and related sources for imagery and place names, while explicitly disclaiming NASA endorsement and any sale of real lunar property.
