Unfragile’s verified-answer API
An API and MCP server for searching, resolving, and checking software tools against a corpus of verified records.
- For
- Developers and agents selecting MCP servers, APIs, and tools
- Worth noticing
- When no corpus match clears its confidence threshold, `/api/answer` returns `null` with a reason instead of inventing a recommendation.
Field notes
The docs organize the service around five record envelopes—MCP servers, APIs, libraries, CLIs, and models—and say records are machine-verified weekly and signed with Ed25519. The verification endpoint returns one of four verdicts: trusted, caution, unverified, or flagged; a passport can be checked offline using the published public key and canonicalized JSON. Examples include curl requests and an npx install command for Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, and other MCP clients.
