A small archive traces freeproxywebsite.com through years of parking pages and an affiliate page, documenting that it never ran a proxy.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-25 issue.

For: Readers interested in internet history and domain archaeology
Worth noticing: The archive contrasts a 554-byte 2007 frameset with a 24 KB 2025 affiliate page that had no proxy.

Field notes

The timeline labels a 2007 frameset, a run of parked pages from 2013–2019, a 2021 “coming soon” page, and a 2025 affiliate page. It reproduces the parking-page line “The Leading Free Proxy Web Site Site on the Net” and describes the later page’s “Absolute anonymity” claim as an affiliate pitch, not a working proxy. The site says its historical claims link to snapshots.
