- For
- Terlingua Ranch neighbors without reliable cell service
- Worth noticing
- Its public channel is framed around road conditions, lost dogs, water hauls, weather, and potluck notices.
Field notes
The described network uses MeshCore firmware on low-power LoRa radios, with a phone app connecting to the radio over Bluetooth. The page says neighbors can host additional repeaters and offers help planning a site and solar kit. It also lists clinics for troubleshooting radios and antenna placement; claims about encryption and data collection are presented by the site, not independently verified.
