Detector Maps plots British Columbia gold records and claims
A prospecting map app combines provincial gold records, current mining claims, and other field-planning layers for British Columbia.
- For
- British Columbia gold prospectors and detectorists
- Worth noticing
- Claim expiry filters cover any date, 90, 30, or 7 days; the page cautions that a mapped claim does not grant detecting permission.
Field notes
The map joins provincial MINFILE occurrence records with current mining claims and placer leases; claim cards are labelled by tenure number, and expiry filters can narrow them to any date, 90, 30, or 7 days. Explorer adds ARIS assessment reports with report year and spend, recreational panning-reserve boundaries, and a 1 m LiDAR hillshade. Users can save chosen map blocks for offline use; the page says dynamic LiDAR and Terrain+ on mobile are still planned.
