- For
- GIF makers and developers editing animated images
- Worth noticing
- The project reports pixel-identical output on a 40-frame optimized GIF; frames exceeding 256 colors may need warned color reduction.
Field notes
The editing workflow distinguishes keyframes, which store a full image, from delta frames, which store changes relative to earlier frames. When a deletion affects that dependency chain, the tool rebuilds only the frames whose resulting canvas changes and preserves the others as-is. The page says it moves the deleted frame's delay to the previous frame to preserve total duration; it also warns that frames with more than 256 colors may require color reduction.
