布可掃書: A Parent-Built Tainan Book Scanner
This unofficial tool scans a book’s barcode to check whether it appears on Tainan’s 布可星球 reading list and estimate the energy points a child can earn.
- For
- Parents helping children use Tainan’s 布可星球 reading program
- Worth noticing
- It distinguishes ISBN barcodes from Tainan library stickers, which can also reveal a copy’s branch, due date, and reservation count.
Field notes
A book’s ISBN and a city-library sticker lead to different lookups: the ISBN checks the reading-program list, while the sticker can identify a library copy and show its loan details. Parents can set a child’s grade to calculate the applicable energy amount, and the page describes keeping a local list with export and import backups. It identifies Tainan’s education department as the source of the public list, though the captured update-date field is blank.
