- For
- Amateur astronomers in Lisbon with home telescope setups
- Worth noticing
- The site says it confirms alignment on an actual star and advises against washing mirrors when dust is only superficial.
Field notes
The page lays out a sequence that starts with mechanical checks, including spring tension and the mirror cell, before optical adjustment. It distinguishes telescope types and describes controlled mirror washing, contact-free drying, and fresh cloths for each lens surface. The provider says small follow-up adjustments can be taught on the owner’s own instrument, with practice taking about ten minutes for most people.
