Hushtrove’s iPhone privacy vault
Hushtrove describes an iPhone vault for photos, videos, files, and notes, with a free 100-photo, 10-video tier. Its App Store release is still marked “Coming soon.”
- For
- iPhone users seeking a private media vault
- Worth noticing
- Hushtrove says each item gets its own AES-256 key, while a 28-character recovery key is shown once at setup.
Field notes
The landing page describes a local-first vault: imports are encrypted on the iPhone, and optional backups go to the user's iCloud. It says keys combine the device passcode with a Secure Enclave secret, while a one-time 28-character recovery key is the only stated route back in without the passcode. The page lists scanning documents into searchable PDFs and stripping location and camera metadata; those capabilities are presented by the site, but the app is still marked “Coming soon to the App Store.”
