WAVR is a Windows desktop music player for Navidrome and Subsonic libraries, with lyrics, video backgrounds, and shared listening rooms.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-27 issue.

For: Navidrome and Subsonic library listeners
Worth noticing: The page describes custom YouTube backgrounds cached per track, with intro skipping and half-second sync adjustments.

Field notes

The page frames WAVR as a desktop layer over an existing Navidrome or Subsonic library, rather than as a music catalog. It describes WavrSync rooms with invite links, shared queues, and host-or-everyone playback controls, alongside individual profiles. The video-background workflow includes per-song YouTube links, local caching, optional intro skipping when available, and timing nudges.
