M2 Monitor: a control panel for Metin2 clients
A free, open-source Windows utility that shows the character, server, latency and traffic for each open Metin2 client, with an option to disconnect one.
- For
- Metin2 players running several client windows
- Worth noticing
- It uses Windows text recognition on captured windows; screenshots used to read names stay in memory and are not saved.
Field notes
The name-reading flow captures each client window, searches for the centered nameplate, enlarges a candidate and checks whether the reading recurs before displaying it. The page says Windows Graphics Capture can capture windows behind others and that these screenshots are kept in memory rather than saved. Administrator rights are needed for connection statistics and resets, while names, servers and process details remain available without elevation.
