- For
- Mac users preparing for internet outages
- Worth noticing
- Its assistant is described as refusing unsupported questions, including about wild plants and drug doses, rather than improvising without a source.
Field notes
The listed shelf ranges from Wikipedia snapshots and medical references to FEMA materials, canning guidance, and ham-radio archives. Users can add local documents and folders, while saved video transcripts are searchable alongside books and PDF pages. The page says the app runs local language models and gives separate model recommendations by Mac memory; the listed minimum is Apple Silicon with macOS 14 or later.
