Roomlit maps the sun across an apartment
Roomlit estimates when direct sunlight reaches an apartment’s rooms, using its address, floor plan, window orientation, and nearby buildings.
- For
- Apartment hunters checking room sunlight
- Worth noticing
- Nearby buildings within 1,000 feet are included; the site says real-apartment measurement checks have not yet been done.
Field notes
Users provide an address, floor and unit, plus a floor-plan photo or screenshot; they also select the building and the side facing their windows. The page says AI suggests floor-plan walls and windows, but users can move them and the tool uses their corrected version. Sun positions are shown in 15-minute steps, with nearby buildings within 1,000 feet included. The site identifies clear-sky assumptions and says checks against real-apartment measurements have not yet been done.
